Line-up announced : Manchester United team to face West Ham – Big Midfield Selection For Solskjaer

Manchester United have named their team to face West Ham this afternoon.

The club will be aiming to return to the top of the Premier League table, though they’ll have to win by three clear goals to do so after Liverpool’s win yesterday.

A positive result is necessary to deflect the growing criticism that has been mounting by critics and a bunch of online ‘Pot Noodle Reds’ (thank you Phil Jones) despite the strong start to the season, following the 2-1 defeat at Young Boys in midweek.

That game saw Jadon Sancho the unfortunate player who had to be taken off for a tactical reshuffle after the sending off of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Sancho’s start to life at United was discussed by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the build up.

“He’s learning all the time,” Solskjaer said. “As I said in training as well, he’s learning our methods, he’s learning the Premier League and of course he knows the Champions League already from being at Dortmund. He’s a young boy, he’s only 21 and he’ll improve.”

“We signed him as we see a top forward for 10, 12, 15 years and I’ve not changed my mind on that. He’s so clean on the ball and is enthusiastic to learn and that is such a big thing when you come to Man United. You’re always going to get a chance and you play with some of the best players in the world, you’re getting some fantastic coaching with the coaches I’ve got too.”

Solskjaer insists there will be a positive response to the defeat in Switzerland.

“Well you learn how to deal with that as professional footballer and how to look forward to the next one,” he said. “Nothing becomes history quicker than a game of football, I’ve said that a few times. No matter if you win or lose there is always a new challenge and this time we have to bounce back. You can see the boys coming in today and there’s a focus to them. I know the performance is going to be a good one with the right attitude and right approach. I know the attitude will be good from the start.”
