Line-Up Announced : Manchester United Team To Face Newcastle

Manchester United have named their team to face Newcastle this evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping that the midweek win over Real Sociedad will help generate some positive momentum, and said before the game that the number of positive performances gave him a good headache.

“Thursday night was perfect for us,” he said. “We gave minutes to the ones that needed minutes, we got good confidence from the performance. The forwards scored goals – Dan [James], Marcus [Rashford], Bruno [Fernandes] scored two goals. I think we’ve found a way of playing when the spaces are there for us. I think we were good at finding the spaces. When they give you the space in behind, why not take it?”

“Every game in the Premier League is difficult. You’ve got to earn the right. You’ve got to do it by your quality but first of all the attitude. Run more than them, want it more than them and we’ve got players who have got the quality, so hopefully we can take the chances.”

Dan James, who scored the fourth goal in midweek, explained his own thoughts.

“All of us forward players have got to give him a headache with his decisions, and I think that’s what he wants as well,” James told ManUtd.com. “He always says he wants that and when I play, I just give my best.”

“I haven’t played much recently but I’ve just been working hard on the training ground, doing the same things that I do all the time. I know the gaffer believes in me and trusts me when I play, so it’s just, as you said, taking all that stuff from training and what you’ve learned into a game. I think I’ll always be ready and I’m proud to play every time I put on the shirt. It’s great.”
